Girl’s Field Hockey

Early in the season the girl’s field hockey team struggled to find coaches. Two parents, Carrie Herr and Chris Spingola, stepped forward and helped create a cohesive team.  Captain Tiffany Marrotte stated, “It was exciting because I felt like we worked together better as a group this year than we did last year.” The team summarized their season with comments like, “We were number one in teamwork;” “We bonded;” and “We broke the gap between 7th and 8th grade.”  The girls are already thinking about team accomplishments in high school predicting that by senior year they were going to be “number one in the state.”

Girl’s Soccer

Coach Brad Hackett discussed the girl’s soccer season stating, “The season, as far as winning games goes, was hard. We didn’t win nearly as many games as we wanted to. However, the real win was the girls. We had several girls that had never played soccer before and then several more with very little experience but by the end of the season they knew what they were doing.” Coach Hackett discussed personal gains the girls made during the season. […] “ I couldn’t be more proud of them.”IMG_3973
